My Life Monday

My Life Monday is something I want to start that will kind of entail what all is going on in my life at the moment...like a basic summary of my life. This could entail product reviews, events going on, things I am interested in, news that has caught my eye...really anything.

My recent obsessions include:
Its a 10 conditioner. The stuff is awesome. I use it almost everyday. It makes my hair so soft and really managable.
My iPad keyboard. Its rose gold and so perfect. I got it on Amazon and I love it.
Polka dots (again). Everything polka dotted is catching my eye and 13 year old me is so happy.

Recent Events
I saw Shania Twain in Nashville and it was one of the happiest moments of my life. It was perfect and she was amazing!
Apartment hunting....its going but not too well. I an starting to get discouraged but I just have to look harder.

General Thought
I do not understand why everyone has to make such a huge deal out of everything. Why does everyone have to get so upset over everything? Just let it go and I promise it will be okay, cause either way, the world will keep spinning and tomorrow will always come.

8 Things to Know Before Your First Cruise

A few weeks ago, I went on my very first cruise and it was amazing! The only thing that could have made it any better was if I was a little more prepared. So here are some tips I have on what you should consider before going on your first cruise.

1. I highly recommend going on excursions. If you dock, there isn't a whole lot on the islands to do unless you go on an excursion. There are some shops to explore, some have more than others, but those don't take a lot of time. We had docked at three different islands, and only booked an excursion at two. Each of our excursions took just enough time that we still had enough time to explore the shops on the dock, and get back to the boat with plenty of time before we sailed off. On our last island, Jamaica, we did not plan an excursion, but we ended up riding a bus around the island.

2. Get a waterproof camera. If we didn't have ours, we wouldn't have gotten half of the pictures that we did. Mostly because our excursions all involved water, but most do.

3. Make sure you have some way of keeping time. There aren't a whole lot of clocks on the boat, and everything is very time oriented. So it is really convenient to make sure you have some way of telling time.

4. If you are a drinker, sneak on som alcohol. For. Sure. This is probably my biggest tip to give. Basically any drink that you get will end up being $10, after automatic tip and tax. And that adds up real quick. It is pretty easy to sneak stuff on when you get on the boat. Just have it in your suitcase, in a container that is not suspicious.

5. Go to the earlier dinner time. Our time was set for 8 every night, It was nice because we had plenty of time every night to shower and get ready after getting back on the boat. But that was also the time that a lot of entertainment was happening, that we missed out on. You are able to set your own time, but you have to do that on the boat, not in advance.

6. Don't overpack. I took out half the stuff I had planned to pack, and still had too much. I am always over packing but for this I packed WAY too much. There is not a lot of extra room in the rooms, but there is a lot of storage.

7. Try. All. The food. Everything. Want three starters? Order them. Don't know if you want steak or lobster? Order them both. Can't decide what dessert to get? Get  em all. It is your vacation, you got it!

8. Get to the boat early. Actually get everywhere early, especially when it comes to entertainment on the boat. Theree will be lines and a lot of people, no matter where you go.

Decorating and Organizing my Planner

If you know me, you might know my obsession with planners, lists, and organization. I take my planner everywhere, and in it make lists of lists that I need to make. It is my everything. So after taking weeks to carefully compare, I decided to get the Kate Spade over the Lilly Pulitzer planner. And so far, I love it!

It, unfortunately, doesn't start until August, but that is only a month away! But here is a little inside look:

So I have been looking all over the internet for different ways to decorate my planner. After looking at other people's decorating ideas, I decided that I needed some stickers, washi tape, page flags, etc. So I went to Michael's, hoping to find a little something for now. Lucky me, I found a sale rack of really cute Heidi Swapp things. All of it was 50-60% off!

This zipper pouch came with gold puffy stickers, a set of three page flags, and paper tags.

I have also come up with a color code system for everything that I am going to write in my planner (when it comes time that I can finally use it!).

All in all, I am very excited about everything that I have gotten so far, and I can't wait to start putting it all together! If you haven't noticed, I am trying to stick to a color scheme, so there isn't a whole lot of crazy going on. I know, I have a problem...

I hope to post more later, showing what I have actually done to the inside, and how I use everything.
