Our adventure to the cruise dock has been pretty successful and interesting. Yesterday in Mississippi we saw thousands of people along the interstate and on overpasses to watch the funeral procession of a fallen police officer. It was so cool to see all that support. I couldn't get very good pictures but this is my favorite that I got. (It's three firefighters standing on a truck, each holding a flag.)
We got a hotel in Baton Rouge and it was a huge suite and really nice! After we checked in we went to look for food and drove around LSU's campus. We all fell in love with the area. We are at this restaurant called The Chimes. I got a crab cake sandwich and fries and it was absolutely amazing.
We left the hotel at 6 AM this morning in hopes to get to the port early. We had to cross so many bridges (unfortunate for me) but the scenery was awesome!
